Who We Are

InteriorThe interior merchandising process for House Details begins with consumer research – creating and reviewing a buyer profile in partnership with each builder. "Our mission is simply to help make that connection between the builder and the buyer," states Faye Markert – President and Owner of House Details. "We create an eclectic mix of furnishings and accessories that feels like it has been collected over the years. Bottom line: our models are affordable and comfortable. Buyers can easily visualize themselves loving living in the spaces."

With over 30 years of team experience in professional interior merchandising and design, House Details takes pride in offering home builders unsurpassed service and results.

At House Details, our professional goal is to help builders sell homes in record numbers.

We use…

  • Buyer Research
  • Functionality
  • Memory Points
  • Color
  • Accessories

…as integral components of the merchandising process.

After attending interior design school in Atlanta, she completed the CQRID certification in residential interior design with the Interior Design Society. Faye moved to an exclusive focus on builder merchandising for model homes in 2001 with the opening of House Details. Markert expanded the business geographically into Richmond and North Carolina, as well as vertically into homebuyer interior design services. In 2005, she launched House Details Too!, a subsidiary that offers individual design services for homeowners as well as blinds, plantation shutters and window treatments.

House Details won the Nationals Award for Best Interior Merchandising for the models at Linkside Cove, a Terry-Peterson Residential development. Faye’s work has been recognized in the Baltimore Symphony Show House and featured in Better Homes and Gardens, and Window and Wall Ideas.

"I am at a time in my life where I am very grateful to work with and for people I enjoy and respect. With today’s busy lifestyles, nothing is more fulfilling to me than creating a Family Room where people will truly want to relax, or a Dining Room where guests never want to get up from the table.

At House Details, we understand the home buyer research and profiles unique to each builder’s target market. Our team uses this information to create that all-important ‘emotional connection’ with the prospective buyer. Our success comes from a strong professional commitment and a solid builder partnership."
